My buddy and fellow meetup member Blake of the Orange County Adventure Racing Meetup group is having a meetup on Friday morning. We're going to go kayaking! It's a great Ocean Kayak, easy beach entry, parking, grassy park...sweet area. If you can possibly make arrangements to be there - you should! Check out his meetup link here: http://adventureraci ng.meetup.com/26/cal endar/11392140/#post ed

Planning on riding early tomorrow - 6:30am is the plan, but I could change it a bit to meet anyone's schedule. Probably won't run after this one, my legs are feeling the three days of climbing in a row. Moderate pace for 1.5 hours is the plan...anyone?

Labor Day Mtn. Bike Ride - I know you all have plans - bbq's, visiting family, going to the beach...but none of that is going to be happening at 7am. Come on out and ride at Lake Calavera area before it gets warm. Plus, you can burn all those calories you're going to eat in the afternoon! We'll go moderate pace for 1.5 hour or so...maybe more. Could go for a short 1.5-2 mile run after or just ride a bit longer your choice. If you haven't been to the Lake area, all the trails are close and accessible so you can bail out at any point. Anyway, hope to see some of you come out for some early Labor on Labor Day!

UPDATED START TIME - 7:00AM Ok...we did it today, and I'd like to do it again on Friday...same time, same place. Moderate pace 1 hour plus ride around Lake Calavera/Mtn. area. Might do a short 2 mile run around the lake afterward if anyone is down for it. The run will be an EASY pace as my run fitness is actually less than my bike fitness - go figure. The tough part is just getting the legs running after pedaling for an hour or more. Anyway, bring water, a gel or two and your helmet. And if you'd like some running shoes. I don't work until the evening, so I won't be in a rush - though I realize some of you will need to scurry to work and family obligations. Hope to see some of you that morning! It was nice and cool this morning.

Hey everyone - I'm going to be doing an early morning (6:15am) mtn. bike ride around the Calavera Mtn./Lake area. Moderate pace - 1.5 hours approximately - no longer than 2 hours. You can head back at any point if you need to get to work or something. Just trying to beat the heat and be to work by 9am myself. Make sure to bring a decent amount of water - even this early it'll be warm out, and maybe a gel or two, and of course your helmet! We'll be leaving on time, so try to get there by 6 or so to get ready. Hope to see some of you there! Jay

Hey everyone - yup I know it's Easter - but I also know 99% of you aren't working so there goes at least one excuse as to why you can't make it. Come on - work off some of those Cadbury Creme eggs before you eat them - unless you already got started! Meet at 9am at the trailhead. Bring a helmet and some water. Weather should be nice. Nothing crazy, just some good riding and enjoying the day. I'll be riding around an hour and a half or so, you can leave early or stay longer...Yeh Mike I'm talkin' to you! :) Hope to see you all there, and if not - well Happy Easter and you're going to feel guilty later after you eat that candy! This is a great place to ride, so come on out - take off work early, or take a long lunch and come join us for a ride around the area. I'll probably ride for one and a half to two hours, nothing crazy - just getting in a good workout, enjoying the afternoon. Anyone is welcome, but please make sure you wear a helmet, and bring some water at the least.

Looking for people to join me on a moderately paced mtn. bike ride around Calavera Mtn. and surrounding area. Probably ride for 1 1/2 hours or so and then return to the cars to lock up bikes and head out for a mellow trail run. Pace will not be intense for either and if there are a large number of attendees we can break up if people want to. I can lock one bike in my truck with my bike for someone who might want to run but doesn't have a lock. Bring lots of water, SHOES (you know who you are), something to snack on since the total workout will be around 2 hours or a bit more. You can do either one or both, but no promise on what time the run will start so it'd be touch to do just the run. Anyway, come on out, the weather is supposed to be awesome and I'd love the company!
