Poll Opened Responses

We're trying to find out how interested people are in having a workshop focused on race navigation. This is the skill that separates AR from most other sports. If there are enough people interested in such a workshop, we'll get one organized in January or February. Poll closes 12/31/08.

We are considering purchasing some high performance wing blade paddles to raffle, with the proceeds going to the club. The paddles would be similar to the SRS Xwing (http://www.simonriversports.com/english/products/paddles/xwing.html)

We are considering buying some high performance wing blade paddles for the club. They would be similar to the SRS Xwing (http://www.simonriversports.com/english/products/paddles/xwing.html) that you could rent for a training or racing weekend for $20. These paddles retail for about $400. This would allow you try out a great paddle without buying it outright until you had a chance to practice and/or race with it.

Recently, Trailblazers-RDU members have had some extremely strong performances in some Adventure Races, most notably: - Jeff E's Team (New Mexico Red or Green) finished a very strong 25th in Primal Quest in Montana - 10 Day, 550+miles - Don C and Pat D (Adventure Racing Family) finished 1st in the Tidewater Traverse in Hampton Roads- 18 hour, 70 miles We are planning a Social Get Together to recognize these performances, listen to their stories, watch a video of recent TB-RDU events / participation, and hopefully meet many of our new members. This will be great fun, and best of all....FREE FOOD!!!!
