Introduction

I am moving to the area and want to get involved in the AR sport

Have you ever reached a point in an adventure (race or not) where getting dirtier/wetter didn't matter any more? Did that feel like despair or freedom?

Yes. Euphoric, a wave of smug satisfaction floads me and often times I start to laugh or smile.

Have you ever mountain biked on a trail at night?

No, I am new to MTBing, previous experience has been road bike.

Have you learned how to use a compass and map to navigate?

I competed in college in orienteering. I have used MGRS map and compass since then, but not orienting scale maps.

Have you participated in an adventure race before? What is interesting to you about AR?

I have done Ultras before but not an AR. I am registered for my initial one in July in SC.

What's your strongest AR discipline - biking, paddling, trekking, ropes, navigation? Your weakest?

Strengths: Trekking and navigation Weakness: Biking
