Introduction
From Cary, first Adventure race was in 1999 after years of triathalons, which progressed in Mountain Bike racing and then I watched the Discovery Eco-Challenge and got hooked...
Have you ever reached a point in an adventure (race or not) where getting dirtier/wetter didn't matter any more? Did that feel like despair or freedom?
No, hadnt really gotten to that point..just try not to think about it
Have you ever mountain biked on a trail at night?
Many times...makes that old trail new again......
Have you learned how to use a compass and map to navigate?
I won't say yes...because then I'll go out and screw the pooch at the next race.
Have you participated in an adventure race before? What is interesting to you about AR?
Yes, several....very rarely are they the same, even running the same race year after year, things change even if it's just the athlete and as often is the case..the mistakes are differant.
What's your strongest AR discipline - biking, paddling, trekking, ropes, navigation? Your weakest?
