- "I'm a relative newbie to adventure racing having discovered how much fun the sport was after participating in a few shorter races: the Flying Frog in Greensboro, STW in SC, and the 9-1-1 race at Umstead. Really want to get more women involved."
- What's your strongest AR discipline - biking, paddling, trekking, ropes, navigation? Your weakest?
- "My positive attitude ;) After that, it's probably biking and paddling. Just learning navigation and have a long ways to go!"
- Have you participated in an adventure race before? What is interesting to you about AR?
- "Just started a couple of years ago...mud, getting dirty, friends, silly challenges, jumping logs, getting incredibly excited over finding little orange and white boxes in trees,....what's not to like?"
- Have you learned how to use a compass and map to navigate?
- "In the process of learning...."
- Have you ever mountain biked on a trail at night?
- "The Burn race encompassed my first night ride. I recommend charging one's light fully so you are not forced to hit trees repeatedly whilst using headlamp ;)"
- Have you ever reached a point in an adventure (race or not) where getting dirtier/wetter didn't matter any more? Did that feel like despair or freedom?
- "The dirtier and wetter the better...It's freedom, baby, yeah!"
