We'll ride 2+ laps for a total ride of at least 3 hours.

Pace will be relatively fast with few breaks.

If the trails are closed due to rain, ride will be moved to another location.

We're doing an endurance ride and run starting from the Old Reedy Creek location.

Ride of about 2-3 hours will be a mix of fire roads and single track.

Run of about an hour will be on tough single track.

Bring water and plenty of food!

Sprint Orienteering Event at Lake Johnson

This is a sprint event at Lake Johnson. Everybody ready to do orange is welcome. No beginner’s class will be held. Don’t forget, you must pre-register for advanced events by noon on Saturday. Please note that, because of the heat, we will start at 8AM, and courses close at 11AM.

Park in the lot on the south side of the lake on Avent Ferry Rd. If the lot is full, park on the north side parking lot and use the pedestrian bridge to walk to the start. Don’t park along the side of Avent Ferry Rd, since you will probably get a ticket.

Impossible Panther AR

This will be the third annual running of the Impossible Panther Adventure Race! Local racers Patrick, Jeff, Bob and Don will be putting on another great event in the Uwharries. The 2009 event will add in a 24 hour course and will be part of the Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Race Series.

Check the race website for updates. More info will be added as plans are finalized.
