Impossible Panther AR

This will be the third annual running of the Impossible Panther Adventure Race! Local racers Patrick, Jeff, Bob and Don will be putting on another great event in the Uwharries. The 2009 event will add in a 24 hour course and will be part of the Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Race Series.

Check the race website for updates. More info will be added as plans are finalized.

If you're not racing in this one, please consider volunteering. It's just as much fun, a lot easier, you learn a lot, and you earn credit towards future race entry fees! Contact Don C for more information.

This race needs more volunteers to help pull the race off. If you're interested in learning more about AR, but aren't quite ready to jump in as a racer, volunteering is a great way to see how it works from the inside. Bushwhack Adventures gives volunteers several perks, like a race shirt, food, and best of all you get race credits for a discount to a future race! Contact Don C if you'd like more information on this opportunity.

    •  Jeff, Patrick, and Don GREAT RACE! thank you for your time
    •  The race was just amazing! Very challenging terrain and some fun surprises on the course. You have to experience it!

It was great to see an Adventure Race from the volunteer stand point. The camping, drums, live band, and video presentation are all great additions that make the Bushwack ARs so unique - by far my favorite events I have attended. Great job to Don, Pat, and Jeff for putting together such a great race and adapting to the extreme "Lake" conditions on Tillery.
    •  12-hours goes by way too fast...I want to do the 24-hour Bushwhack Race in September... I thoroughly enjoyed the portage from Morrow Mountain to the dam at Falls Lake... Got to do some Kayak-whacking...never done that before!!! (that should have been one of the special challenges)...
    •  a little disappointed with the rappelling only having one rope, we got there before 5, had to wait about 40 minutes and then only 1 team member had time to do it. There was supposed to be 2 ropes, but only 1 was setup. Other than that, the race was run well and the post race food was great.
