Up to 12 HRS of river paddling, mountain biking, navigation and trekking in the area around Pilot Mountain NC. This is the first offering of an AR in that region. Check it out....

The IsoSeries YukiJoy race will be on May 17th, 2008. The location of the race start will be the Hauser Road parking lot in the River Section of Pilot Mountain State Park. For google maps, you can Input the address as "Hauser Road, Pinnacle NC" and it should get you to within a half mile of the starting parking lot. Further directions can be found on the State Park Website. The time will be announced in the first captains communication, but it will be in the morning.

Overnight camping is available at the race start, and is completely encouraged so that you can get to know your fellow racers before it all goes down!

Disciplines:
Biking: Road, Fireroad and Singletracks. Don't worry, there will be hills: 30-40 miles.
Paddling: Flatwater, Class I-II rapids, 10-15 miles.
Trekking: 5-10 miles. Bring a change of socks for after the race

Early Registration will be $75 per racer, no matter on team size. Late registration will be $85 per racer.
Early registration ends 3/30/2008, Late registration ends on 5/15/2008.

    Beautiful course! Sorry I wasn't fast enough to get in the O-course section! Congrats to Todd, Mark, Eddie and Christine, and their volunteers for putting on a great event! Looking forward to more adventures in that area!

    I'd like to head up Friday to camp and enjoy race prep in the company of other racers. Who else is going up Friday? Any possibilities for carpooling and gas-saving?

    I'll be camping out the night before too Bruce, though...to set it all up. If you are camping, the park has an advisory, the family campgrounds' water supply is tainted, so bring a couple extra gallons. Can't wait to see you guys out at the course, it looks like it's going to be some tight competition! Hope to see some familiar faces out here in the triad.
