"Don and Patrick are great stewards and ambassadors for AR."

Bob Wallace (May 4, 2008)

"It always helps to try something or some place a little different to drive you out of your comfort zone."

Darren S (Apr 19, 2008)

"It's a chance to get out and meet others interested in learning about adventure racing. Plus they host lots of training and practice events to choose from."

Chris K (Apr 13, 2008)

"Great fun in the outdoors and people are always willing to help you learn."

Dirty Don (Apr 7, 2008)

"Great place to see what adv racing is about. If you like biking, riding, and paddling then try it. This event allowed me to pair up with another racer I didn't know. That was a lot of fun Pleae remember, even though an event may be 4 to 30 hrs or more, almost all events give the racer(s) the ability to reduce the time. So you can do a 4 hr event and decide to only do 2 hrs of the fun"

Brent Eischen (Apr 7, 2008)

"Adventure racers are the most laid back and friendly group of people I've ever met!"

Don C (Apr 6, 2008)

"Great group, always willing to teach."

Patsy (Apr 6, 2008)

"A lot of people came out; this sport has some following around here. It can only get better. I also like the notification system for practice events and also for actual races"

About this Meetup

Adventure Racing events are usually team events, where teammates stay together throughout the race. The bond created among friends from facing challenges together is one of the best parts of AR. This reward is there for the taking, whether you're racing to stand on top of the podium, or just racing to see if your team can complete a race course. The important thing is to have fun, and AR provides lots of opportunities to do that!

Donations
If you find that membership (free) in this group is useful or helpful in any way, please consider making a small donation to help cover the cost of the Meetup website. We recommend a donation of $1. You can donate through Paypal (add $0.33 to cover Paypall fees). Or you can hand $1 to Don or Patrick in person at a group event. If most members donate $1, we'll only need to ask for donations once every 4-5 months. If you feel membership is worth more than $1, we'll appreciate any amount you are willing to donate.
